Treatment For Bleeding Hemorrhoids

Rectal bleeding is the most common symptom of internal hemorrhoids. While internal and external hemorrhoids can ooze blood, with bleeding internal hemorrhoids you will often find fresh blood covering the stool.

Hemorrhoids can be caused by a number of common pressure sources, including:

-Constipation and straining to have a bowel movement.

-Diarrhea, where the expulsion of loose stools is continuous.

-Standing or sitting for prolonged periods.

-Obesity

-Lifting heavy objects.

-Pregnancy.

If you suspect you have bleeding internal hemorrhoids, you should consult your health care provider immediately. If you have bleeding internal hemorrhoids, and the bleeding is not stopping, you need to inform your doctor.

If you are not sure why you are bleeding, then go get a check up. Bleeding internal hemorrhoids are often mistaken for an anal fissure (a crack or tear in the anal skin).

You may require emergency care if you experience faintness or dizziness, along with significant rectal bleeding. If prescription medications do not stop the bleeding, your doctor will likely recommend one of the procedures for hemorrhoid removal.
